shadow copy



Shadow Copy

Shadow Copy is one of my favorite features of Vista (Business,

Enterprise, and Ultimate). Shadow Copy allows the user to revert to a

previous version of a file or even restore a deleted file or folder.

Shadow copies of your files/folders are created automatically every

time a system restore point is. To insure that this amazing feature is

enabled (which it definitely should be), go to Start and then type

systempropertiesprotection and hit enter. Now select the disks on your

computer you want shadow copies to be made for and click Apply. After

shadow copy has been enabled and you wish to revert to a previous

version of a file simply right click the file and choose Restore

previous versions. Now chose which version you need and click Restore.
