New This Quarter! 280E Classroom AV Support

Starting this quarter, Meyer technology consultants will be providing

support for Meyer 280E in the Language Lab on the 2nd Floor. The

classroom includes an instructor station, VGA input for a laptop, a

world-capable VCR/DVD deck, and cable TV service. 280E also includes

innovative technologies not in any of our other classrooms, such as

wireless keyboards and mice, and two rear-projection SMART Boards,

which include some of the following features (only available via the

instructor station):

Notebook: Write and draw on the screen using the pens in the SMART

board tray

Recorder: Captures a movie of what you do on the screen

Keyboard: On-screen keyboard

Floating Tools: Useful when using the touch-screen and a mouse isn't

accessible. Includes area capture, select, pen, highlighter, undo,

eraser, and right-click.

More: Screen Shade (grays out the entire screen), Pointer (unlike the

mouse, you can drag this and leave it somewhere), Calculator,

Magnifier, and Spotlight (blacks out all but a portion of the screen)
